My first exposure to Joseph Cornell was over 40 years ago in college. Before retiring as a middle school art teacher I also worked in an art gallery. I had a chance to see a Joseph Cornell exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA in 2007. In December of 2013 I had an idea to make a box with materials I had collected on a trip to Italy that Spring. Since that time I have made over 35 boxes and it has become my mission to keep on expanding and create more interesting " assamblage". My submission is my latest.
